Oreo Crumble Isopod — Porcellionides pruinosus

They’re hardy, prolific breeders and thrive in a moderately humid environment with plenty of hiding places and decaying organic matter. A great beginner-friendly isopod for reptiles, amphibians, and other exotic pets. 🦎🖤

Can do well in bioactive enclosures, provided they have access to a consistently moist refuge.

They are very adaptable, but they shouldn't be kept completely dry. A good setup is:

• 💧 Moisture: Keep one area of the substrate noticeably damp so they can retreat there.
• 🌿 Humidity: Moderate to high humidity with good ventilation works well.
• 🍂 Food: Leaf litter, decaying wood and supplemental foods such as vegetables and protein.
• 🪵 Hides: Cork bark, wood pieces and leaf litter provide plenty of hiding places.
• 🌡️ Temperature: They do well at typical reptile-room temperatures.
• 📏 Adult Size: Approximately ½ inch (1–1.5 cm)

They’re an excellent clean-up crew because they are active, fast-moving and reproduce readily. They're also a popular feeder for reptiles, amphibians and other exotic pets.
