What Are Isopods?

Isopods are small land-dwelling crustaceans, related to shrimp and crabs—not insects! They naturally live under leaf litter, logs and decaying organic matter, where they help break down waste and recycle nutrients. 🌿🍂

They make excellent bioactive clean-up crews, helping keep enclosures cleaner while adding natural activity and interest. With many species and colours to choose from, there’s an isopod for almost every type of setup.
